Run, don't walk

Londoner's listen up. Selfridges have created a brand new hair hall and it's pretty epic. With 3500 square-feet filled with products for all hair types, textures and colours as well as services, tools and accessories, it's basically the ultimate go-to for anything hair related.

The new space, which has increased the scope of the existing offer at Selfridge's by 180%, was imagined as a destination "for inspiration and education" and comes with a "unique mix of counter concepts and experimental pop-up newness to discover".

You'll be will be able to have their pick of dry hair styling options from Jose Eber, Living Proof and GHD. Of course, they can also get a blow dry at the essential Hersheson's.

Those keen to learn more about their hair type and scalp health can visit the Ruka Curl Bar, where they can speak with a trichologist and be matched with the perfect textured hair extension.

Scalp health has been given extra attention at Selfridges and you can experience LED scalp treatments at The Light Salon.

Meanwhile, Aveda will be offering a complimentary scalp diagnostic check, and, from September, you can go to the Steam Bar which will offer hydrating scalp services and treatments. This exclusive hair service, located on the third floor, was founded by Judy Koloko and aims to educate the world of hair on scalp health.

The new space is stocked with 53 specialist hair care brands including Sam McKnight, Oribe, Virtue, R+CO. Larry King, JVN Hair, Monpure, Briogeo, Melanin Hair, This Hair of Mine, Arkive and Champo, Hello Klean, and GHD will also be available in the store.

Customers visiting the hair hall will be getting a unique experience, as brands like Living Proof, Aveda, Jose Eber, Ruka, Ouai, and Gisou have developed specific menus just for Selfridge's. For instance, Aveda will be offering paddle brush engraving, should you need to get a last minute present for a pal.

Selfridges new hair hall is not just packed with products, however. The destination, focused on the "pleasure of adornment and art of hair styling" will also offer accessories. These include covering clips, claws, barrettes, scrunchies, slides, beaded wigs and more.

As for the launch date? The new hair space at Selfridges is open now (run, don't walk). The rows of shelves stocked with exclusive products, contemporary jewellery, and hair care service are waiting for you to get lost in.
